Uniting two visionaries from the world of interiors and décor, the new KATE NIXON with Quercus & Co. collaboration embodies warmth, elegance and thoughtfulness.

Drawing on an award-winning career in design and styling, this charming collection finds inspiration in Kate’s long-held fascination with nature’s tones and textures as well as the intricacies of woven textiles - each of the designs intuitively layered with nostalgic references.

With painstaking precision, Quercus & Co. founder Adam Jones has hand-painted, etched, marked and sketched to reinterpret these imprints and motifs, creating seven stunning, dimensional designs that are individually captivating and collectively characterful.

Offered in extra matte, fine textured wallpaper and 100% Belgian linen, this Australian designed and made collaboration presents 28 beautiful colourways, each expressly developed to enhance that pattern’s application onto domestic textile or premium stock.

From flora to fauna to free expression and whimsy, each versatile pattern has undergone countless iterations with many rounds of refinement; the scale, colouring and print repeat consciously refined and perfected to enrich interiors of all types.

COQUINA

Coquina draws its inspiration from the delicate, striped markings of seashells Kate gathered along the pristine seashore of Cressy Beach in Tasmania. Offered in soft colourways, its intermittent vertical patterning creates a gentle but structured visual tempo, imbuing interiors with character and charm.

SMOKE BUSH

Smoke Bush presents a heartfelt homage to Kate's cherished memories of her grandmothers’ gardens. Brimming with nostalgia the pattern honours the unique foliage and delicate flower of Australia’s native Smoke Bush tree. Painted by hand, then beautifully layered and meticulously repeated, the result is both romantic and endearing.

TWEED

Tweed celebrates the beauty and complexity of natural fibres. As evidenced in her use of woven textiles throughout her interior designs, Kate’s love of texture and materiality has inspired this delightful motif. Offered in various distinct colourways, Tweed is a study in tonality, expressing warmth and texture.

SEAGRASS

Seagrass reinterprets the tactile, three-dimensional characteristics of grasscloth wall coverings as a beautiful new printed motif. With each meticulous hand-drawn mark and brush stroke, the woven strands of the grass fibres have been thoughtfully reimagined. The result is a vibrant, rhythmic interplay of tone, texture and colour.

WICKER

Wicker presents a beautiful paradox with its delicate yet dynamic linework. Hand-drawn and intricate, this irregular pattern brims with personality. Each of the colourways reintroduces the woven mass of overlapping strokes with an appeal all its own. Wicker offers a polished and practical alternative to textured wallcoverings.

SERVAL

Serval reimagines the natural markings of the striking African wild cat that lends this motif its name. A layering of hand painted marks, each brush stroke brings depth and whimsy. Offered in several characterful colourways, each hue conjures diverse imagery - from enchanting miniature landscapes to serene cloud dappled skies. At once versatile and uniquely captivating.

WEAVE

Weave presents a fresh take on a decorative wallcovering classic. Marrying painterly strokes with a timeless leitmotif, the broad intersecting bands produce a confident, structured character. By playing with tone and direction, each of Weave’s colourways offers a striking statement.
